Prickly Pear and SOTM
Good Morning,
We have had fall weather here in Mass all week. As much as it's Summer... I actually love fall, so no complaints here, other than no more rain please... lol.
Ok, so a few things to chat about. July is "Prickly Pear" monh over at CTMH. There's also a really cute Stamp set of the Month and they look adorable together. Stamp of the Months can be purchased at whole price, or at a discounted price of $5.00 with a $50.00 Purchase before tax and shipping.

Now, the other piece of business, ;0) The current Annual Catty is about to retire. This means that there is a *New Catty about to debut. However, that also means MOST of the current book is RETIRING!! So, if there's anything that you were waiting on to buy, you have until 7-31-17 to snag it. When it's gone, it's gone. Seriously though, this paper packet is so dang fun! I always recommend the "Workshop Your Way", because not only does it group all of the goodies together for you, but, it comes at a great discount.

Family Day in "Your Backyard"
Good Morning!!
We had such a great weekend!! We took the girls into Boston, took a hop on, hop off tour, which means from 9am-5pm, we could hop on and off the trolly at 9 Historic spots and enjoy walking around and exploring. Places like, Fanuel Hall, Boston Common, Tea Party, Naval Ship Yard..The U.S.S. Constitution.. She's so beautiful!! The trolly guides are hilarious and so informative! You could choose one, two, or tour them all.
We chose City View Trolly so we also got the Harbor Crusie for $10 each. I bought the tickets through my GROUPON app!!! Which meant we saved $23 each tix, for the trolly and $13 each tix, for the Harbor Cruise. For a family day for 7, we saved a total of $211.00!! HOLY COW!
Now, with that said, we ate at Fanuel Hall... that can be expensive!! I suggest choosing wisely. Regina's Pizza is my fav, and there's an amazing ice cream spot called Sprinkles!! Which my husband says is so wrong.. lol cause they're JIMMIES, NOT SPRINKLES! However, if your're looking to spend some $$ for a date night, there's also a Ghirardelli Chocolate Ice Cream Bar!! Holy Smokes, walking by it ... the smell is amazeballs!
Today's Lesson/Tip, stay local, look around, there's so much that we just don't see because we're so busy!! Use that Groupon! It's worth it. The girls learned so much and their hearts grew for their home! We chose to take the tour because life happens and it's nice to slow down and listen to the stories of home! I grew up in SOMERVILLE. My home was in the Winter Hill area. Whitey was a name that everyone knew and I lived 5 mins from where Paul Revere stood to wait for the lights to be hung in the steeple of Old North Church and 5 mins from The Mystic River. Growing up, not a big deal.. as an adult, so much pride!! You don't always have to travel and spend thousands to enjoy life. Staycations are good!
Hope you take the time to relearn the stories about where you live and take in some time loving on your family!! Enjoy your week!

Summer 2017
Happy Tuesday Lovies!!!
As I sit here and type, I'm waiting for my youngest to get off her bus and it's officially SUMMER 2017 Ya'll! Time to breathe!! I look forward to this every year. For me, it's a time of reflection. The school year is so hectic for us. So summer vacation gives me two months to evaluate what worked, what didn't and what changes we can make to make things easier.
Everything costs money! You always hear "Money can't buy happiness.." Umm in order to exisit, you need money, unfortunately. The trick is to make it doing something that's not killing you. We started a family because we wanted the family life. Constantly pushing them away because we don't have time and need to work, is NOT what we meant... There are ways to do this!!
One of my goals this summer, is to share what we're doing to save and have time to play with our kids. My oldest is on her way into her senior year of high school and I've got this little panic going on in my belly! I want to snugle and kiss that face as much as I can before she leaves for college. It's been important to me, their whole lives to show them that we want them around as much aspossible, as well as wanting them to spread their wings. I've always wanted them to fly.. never wanted them to be waiting to RUN.. lol! I couldn't wait to RUN!
So, this summer... lots of affordable play, smart spending, saving and most important, FAMILY FUN! Hope you follow along!

Where have I been?!
Good Sunday Morning Lovelies!!
I have been a bit MIA. I apologize for that. We as a family have gone through quite a year in 2016!! To say the least, 2016 was like a trip to OZ! Lol!! I may share more of what we went through, only because I know there are people out there going through similar or even worse and it's comforting to talk it out with someone who's been there. I will say though, it's true.. BETTER things were meant to be, things will get better, God has a plan, what is meant to be will be... At the time, you don't/can't hear it. HOWEVER, at some point, the winds calm, the clouds part and the sun does come back!!
Fast forward to 2017, we were blessed to be able to buy our first home!! It's got its quirks.. lol BUT they're OURS! :0) We looked at 70 something nightmares.. with and without our agent.. who happens to be a long time friend. We even had 1 under agreement, who pulled out 1 week before closing and didn't even notify us! We only found out because our Bank contacted them with forms that needed to be signed and recieved a return email from a secretary that they filed papers and pulled the deal?!?! The selling agent refused to speak to our bank, agent, us.. FREAKING NIGHTMARE!
That was after waiting almost 2 months.. giving our notice to our apartment complex, informing the schools that we were taking the girls out.. getting them enrolled at another.. AND, the house we ended up buying was in another city.. we were TRULY blessed with OUR HOUSE, Neighborhood, schools... UGH! So fortunate! We really ended up where we belong!
Going through all of this stress takes a toll.. Mentally, Physically, Emotionally. Everything seemed to be falling apart. My poor Hubby was working his nuggets off, My kids didn't want to leave, I had a hard time finding up... I ended up dealing with health issues for myself and my youngest. It was not easy!!
So BELIEVE that what ever it is that you may be going through right now, it WILL be ok. There is better coming your way. Just keep getting back up and working hard with a purpose.

Target Addict
Happy Friday Peeps!!
The sun is out and it's flipping gorgeous!! It's chilly, but perfect weather for a Latte and a walk with your camera! ;0)
So, I went to Target yesterday for printer ink and paper clips. Ummm ya.. hahahaha! I can at least say that I did pick up what I went for.. along with a bunch more. I can NOT go in that store without shopping that dollar spot. However, I don't feel guilty doing so.
I highly recommend checking it out. It's inexpensive and good quality. I've been offering cake smash sessions with my Photography Business. Well, the Target dollar spot has colored porcelain cake pedestals. Flipping adorable!! So simple. With a shoot like this it's easy to go overboard with all the cutesie backdrops and props, but the less the better. It's all about the baby and these pedestals are perfect for that subtle cutsie effect!
They've also got lots of glass and wooded alterables.. exp: Mason Jars, milk jars, trays, chalk board signs, organization.. and lots of cute things perfect for the littles. Colorings books, crayons, puzzles..even snacks. Actually, perfect spot for the Easter Bunny to check out. I've even seen really cute stuff for ya'll planners!!
Spring is coming, spring cleaning is approaching. Which also means that some.. especially me, looking to reorganize, redecorate, clean out.. So grab your favorite "errands beverage" and get your move on! ;0)
